Hey Family!

This week has been a good week.

Sunday I had to give the Gospel Principals lesson, and it was about the gathering of Israel. I was so nervous and we just started to read a little bit, but we started talking a little bit and then it got better. I also have a testimony that Heavenly Father prepares us for certain things. I had just passed through a scripture that I liked in 3rd Nephi that talks about the gathering of Israel when Jesus was in the Americas.3rd Nephi 17:4 talks about how Jesus Christ will also help in this Gathering, But for now what we learned in the class is that mission work is the biggest thing we can do to help the gathering of Israel.

This Sunday we left in the morning to look for a lot of people to come to church with us, but nobody wanted to. It was something concerning us, and the whole morning I was just praying in my heart that we could have at least 1 person in the church. We sat down and sacrament started. We saw a family that is partial members. They came but at first we didn’t see our investigator. We kept on hoping that they would be come. Then about 5 minutes after they came in 3 of our investigators, and another one came a little later. We were really happy and we felt so grateful for what we could see that God did for us.

It was the same with the example of the blocks last week. I think there were blocks that we felt we couldn’t lift and we felt a little bit sad, but we did what we could and I know that it’s because we practiced the faith that we had to ask for what we were worried about in this time.

Talking about the same theme, I also really liked a scripture in 3rd Nephi when Jesus was ministering to the people. In 3rd Nephi 14:7-12, it talks about how we just need to ask God if we are in need of something. It’s really that simple, and the example that he uses is that if someone has a child and if this child asks for bread would they give him a rock? If they had a heart, of course not. Haha. And that our Heavenly Father is the same with us. He wants to bless us with what we need and He’s not just going to give us a rock. I loved this example, and I know that all it takes is a little bit of faith.

That’s about all for this week! Love you all!

Here are some pictures of us today, when we went to San Bernardo.

These are pictures of us in the area.

Also something that we ate, called filled squash, it was really good,

We also had an activity of the Tree of life,

October 23, 2017

The last Monday was a holiday here, of what, I don’t know, buuuut because of that the computer places were not open.

Well there were transfers, and I got transferred back to Salta Capital! My new ward and area is called Palermo, and I will be serving here as Leader of the Zone.

I am with an Elder Roman. He is from Asuncion Paraguay.

I’m really excited to be here in the new area.  Elder Roman is a hard worker and as a nice little welcoming to the area, we were able to find some new people to teach. Im pretty excited for them, and there are some great investigators that we have.

A big joy about returning to Salta is being able to see people that I got know and converts that we had here. I have loved getting to know the ward and seeing people from my other areas.

This week has been really busy, and we have a lot of meetings coming up with President. I was scared to be leader of the Zone, and still am, but I see everyday how the Lord qualifies us. I hope to be ready when the Lord needs me.

Not too much else happened this week. :) My whole mission has been Tucuman and Salta, but I love it, and we´ll see this might be my last area.

Also we are so close to the mountains. Our area is higher up in the city, and when we are just walking in the area we can see the city lights from downtown Salta.

Love you all so much! So awesome hearing from you guys and what all goes on!

Elder Wolf

This was an activity of a mini-MTC.  These are youth from the whole stake.  I got to see Ariel Delgado, and some of the other youth from Tribuno. Elder Damron is in the Zone now!

Here are some pictures of the Area, and some pictures with Elder Roman.

October 9, 2017

This week was a good week.  It went by flying though.

We had interviews with the president, and he told me I had quite a bit of time in my area. Haha.  I’m working on preparing the area just in case I will be going to another area this coming week.  Even the members are telling me that I’m going to be getting a calling in the ward soon if I stay here longer.  Haha.  It’s just a joke but we will see what happens.  I will miss a lot of the people here if I go.

We are just trying to find people to teach as always and nothing too big happened this week.

I don’t know if I already shared but I just finished Alma, which I was proud of.  Haha.  Reading the scriptures is so great and I wish I could just take a whole day to do that, but reading still is a challenge sometimes so I was excited.  Haha.  Anyway, I loved learning more about Moroni! He was an amazing person, captain, and leader.
I loved the verse in Alma 48:16-17 - t shows us attributes of Moroni, and it has a promise. It says if we can be like Moroni, the powers of Satan will have no power over us. I love that promise and I know that these attributes are also attributes of Christ, and so as we get to know our Savior better, and focus on these attributes we will be blessed with this promise.

Love you all!

Here is a spot we went with Pedro last Monday. This is where people go paragliding.

Got to go up to San Javier again with Pedro in his car. Here are some pictures.

Pictures of an old church, a statue thing, in one of the parks here in the area, and the moon.

Some hill country on the way up to San Javier.

Hey Family! Happy Late Birthday first, to Shaun, and now Happy Early Birthday to Mom!!

We got to watch conference! This conference was really good! I don’t know if I am just paying more attention now, but I felt like this conference was extremely inspired.

This week was a good week. We pretty much did a lot of explaining about Prophets to help people prepare for the conference. We used a lot, Amos 3:7, 1 Nephi 22:1-2, and the story of Naaman in 2 Kings chapter 5. I really love learning about the prophets and I think it’s such a special moment that we get to have every 6 months that the prophets and apostles can talk to us.

One Elder in the district (Elder Utai) helped me realize the calling of the apostles and prophets when I was verifying with them through a call one night. He said “Did you see how the prophets and apostles aren’t afraid of anything?” And I was like, “Yeah!”  It’s so true, they have such amazing testimonies, and really when we can listen to what they have to say, we know that they are called of God. They talk with such power and authority because they know that Christ Lives and that this is his Church.

It made me reflect on how we should be as missionaries, also being witnesses that we have a Savior, and that he is Jesus Christ. I loved all the analogies that they had in the conference.  I really liked the talks of Dallin H Oaks, Tadd R Callister, and Deiter F Uchdorf, but there were so many other great ones.   I just told my companion that I wish I had the time to re-watch all of them.  And, well, I hope you guys feel the same way. :)

This week was good though. A pretty normal week. I had exchanges with Elder Stocks and we did a lot. Went to an area where we hadn’t gone a lot to contact. On the way saw 3 dead dogs. Saw a big spider, too. We walked a lot because pretty much all the appointments went through, but that happens sometimes. We cooked chicken milanesa for lunch (it was one kilo) and then we had a lot left for dinner, too!

My companion likes to cook, and we have been cooking a lot of things with noodles. We made a hamburger helper type of thing last night and that was pretty good!

All in all we have been good!

Here is Elder Andersen and me with a Paris Saint Germain Jersey. We went to the fair and bought one.

Then this is another picture of us today. We are writing a little bit earlier because we are going to go to San Javier where there is the statue of Christ. We are going with Pedro and some other Elders.

Then this is a picture of me with Elder Stock in exchanges. We had quite the little adventure.

Here’s a huge spider that we found in the church. There is a shoe by it (not mine...) for the scale.
