February 12, 2018

Well, I have been sitting here trying to write a decent letter, but I'm a little anxious and I can't really think.

The highlights of this week are that we had 2 baptisms. They were really special because Brother Perea has been listening to missionaries for a while and finally could be baptized. He got baptized with his son Emiliano, who just turned 9 years old on Friday and his baptism was Saturday.

This week I slept in the pension of Elder Andersen. It was awesome. We did exchanges and had a blast, then I went to another area to do exchanges and the other Elder got sick so I took him to the hospital, and we had to stay the night there. It was a pretty draining week. but overall good. We were thankful for the ward mission leader who helped a lot with preparing the baptism.

More than that this week we need to prepare the area for my departure and find a lot of people to teach.

I got to see the Delgado family today and will probably visit them next week too before I go. It was an awesome visit.

Thats about it,
love you all,

Elder Wolf

When I remove all the personal notes to family members, and the discussion about school when Jacob gets back, here's what's left:

Hey Family!

I don't know if I am having a reverse effect because I have been eating more than normal! Normally when I am nervous I don't feel like eating, But in my mind I'm not nervous, so I think my body is being nervous and eating a lot, or I don' know.

This week has been good!

We have 2 baptisms set up for this weekend and then one for the next week! We are really excited for that! But everything is pretty normal!

Yeah! It was a real stressful week but we had all 5 baptisms. It was an amazing experience.

We almost couldn't find enough white clothes for them we did exchanges because there was an Elder Batman that had to do the interviews, and then the next morning I had to go to the other stake to get the other clothes that we needed.

This might be the first time in my whole mission that we reached our goal as a district.  We finished with 9 baptism out of a goal of 6. and as a zone we passed the goal by one. We got 16 out of 15 baptisms. President said that we can do an activity together, and he's gonna buy us some ice cream. Its not like its an incentive or anything... haha but we were really excited for the zone.

We are working with some other people named the Molinas family.  They came to church this Sunday, and also another partial member family named the Perea family.  The husband said he wanted to be baptized so we are working with them.

This area has a lot of potential still, and so we are really excited!

That's about it though,

Love you all! Elder Wolf

This little chihuahua is called Papi jr. Hes a beast! Haha.  He is from family Segovia who just got baptized

This is Elder Batman who is our district leader.

This was this weekend with the baptisms. soooo stressful, but really worth it.

Played frisbee in the church with "Kevin". Haha.  We just found this lil Egyptian guy and named him Kevin, and we used him as a target.

So this week turns out that Walter, the kid that was going to get baptized had to go back to a little town to visit his family and he wasn't able to be baptized.

However we are expecting to have about 5 baptisms this weekend. 3 from the Segovia family, who we have been teaching for a few weeks now, and then 2 kids from a Gonzales family. They are really awesome, and the 2 little kids want to be baptized. The dad does, too, but he is waiting to get married.

We have some investigators that might be the hardest that I have ever had in my mission. They are really, really nice. They were a contact and they let us in to talk. We are really good friends. Buuuuut the lady is like half JW and half Catholic but she believes in God. The man doesn't know what he believes. He knows a lot about the scriptures but always expresses the confusion and the doubts that he has. It's different because we know how to answer all the questions that he has but for someone that believes.  We told him, the only way you can know is by asking God. We then asked him if he would read, he said yes. Then we asked him if he would pray and ask God, and he said, ¨No, it's ok I'll just ask you guys...¨  haha we laughed for a second and explained to him that that's not how it works... haha.  They are willing to come to church the next Sunday. He is willing to try it out and see if he feels anything

Other than that it has been a pretty chill week. We are going to have zone conference tomorrow. We have to teach about the new area plan. That'll be fun! haha

That's it for today. I haven't been able to send the pictures in these weeks, the computers have been kinda bad.

Love you all!

We also had our meeting of leaders this week and they had the Elders and Sisters that were going home give their testimonies.  I was one of them. It freaked me out... haha but I’m all good. We got back pretty late from the meeting and I just told my comp, we need to go now and leave the pension because if I stay here any longer I’m gonna think about things and yeah... haha so we left. There’s nothing better than just going out and seeing what is gonna happen.

Almost every day this week it rained. We are in a heavy rain season.

This week we found a lot of new investigators, including an awesome family that has some amazing questions. It makes us so excited because first they are asking a lot of really awesome questions and two because they actually understand the first time that we teach a principal.

We are also working with a Segovia Family and they are progressing really fast! The ward has been really welcoming with them and that has been such a blessing for us!

We are also waiting this week to have a baptism of a kid named Walter. He is 16 years old. He has been listening to us for a while! He is understanding more and wants to be baptized.

I’m really grateful for my comp. He’s helping me out to finish strong! I am having some awesome experiences with the investigators and every time we leave an appointment I feel so happy and then think about how I only have so much time to enjoy these experiences here.

Loving every moment.

This week has been great! and trying at the same time. :)

We almost got struck by a lightning bolt in a rainstorm. We were walking and it was raining and then we saw a really bright light that covered all of our vision and then we heard a thunder crack not even a second after. We thanked God after

I read Jacob 5 and actually understood some of it! so that was fun!

We had a family of 3 in the church and after fasting I believe God let this be one of the best fast and testimony meetings of my whole mission.

We are still working hard and I dont feel that trunky. Elder Baker is helping me out though.

This week was fun!

We found some new people that seem excited to learn more about the gospel, and we are still talking with the Gonzalez family! They are really awesome.  We had a family home evening with them this week and they liked and appreciated it!  We acted out the parable of the talents. It was fun!

We went to eat dinner with a family for New Years and it was good. We ate cow meat, pig meat, and chicken! It was all really good, but I’m feeling like a good stir fry. :)  Afterward, we saw a bunch of fireworks in front of the pension.

That’s about it. I’m loving the time here with my companion.

Love you all!
