October 17, 2016 - The Wonderful and the Weird
Wow the weather has
been crazy huh? The weather here is getting really hot. We just bought some
hats
They have here rice
with milk (with sugar) and it’s like a dessert. It reminds me of ris ala mande.
This week was pretty
good. I’m enjoying getting to know the ward and we have been working hard to
find new people. We have been working with an investigator, Ariel. He is super
awesome and he got baptized this week. We taught him but he goes with his uncle
on the weekends and so he goes to a different ward. This meant that we taught
him but he wasn’t going to be part of our ward. I worried about this and I was
a little bit sad that we weren’t going to see this baptism and have him in our
ward, but we worked with the sister missionaries, and we got permission to go
and help in his baptism. Elder Damron got to baptize him for his first baptism
in the mission and we were so excited to be a part of his baptism. We are
currently teaching his dad and cousins too and they are really awesome!
We also have been
teaching someone named Juan Pablo. He has accepted the teachings and has been a
perfect investigator. He is 18 years old and is in a wheel chair. We got some members to help us take him to
church. He has accepted a baptism date and he has been progressing a lot. I was
really happy with the people who greeted him in the church. Other than that,
this week we ate in a restaurant that a member payed for. It was really nice of
them and it was really yummy! We ate empanadas! Elder Damron and I are working
really well together. He’s super awesome and we laugh a lot.
Weird experiences:
We were looking for a
member that lived in an old persons’ home and it was a little scary. Haha. They let us in then we couldn’t find the
people that worked there. We were surrounded by older ladies that were just
staring at us... Haha. We looked for the
brother and we couldn’t find him and then we returned and asked for help.
We found him and I think he’s one of the most sane people there. One of the old
ladies asked me for food and I didn’t have anything to give her sadly. Then we
left with the brother, haha.
Also just last night I
guess there’s like an old wives’ tale that says that if you rub the belly of a
frog on your acne on your back it’ll go away. I would never try this, but a
young man that lives next to us asked one of the elders to help him and, well,
I wasn’t going to pick up the frog but elder Brown did and well he helped the
guy out and apparently it worked, haha.
That’s about it!
Love you all
Elder Wolf
Here is 2 of our
investigators, Iziquiel and Guillermo.
And today we bought sombreros
for the sun because we have been burning a little bit. Haha
A picture of the
district.
We worked together to
baptize an investigator that we had.
Another Picture with

why i love to be by the mountains :)
