October 3, 2016 - General Conference and Transfers
Woooow the snow! It’s super
weird to think that it’s snowing over there! It’s definitely warming up here. A
lot... Haha, but it’s ok, the people are always willing to give us a glass of
water! We have a big fan in the pension and we have asked for air conditioning,
too, haha.
Transfers, we got our
transfers!!! I am moving areas! I will be in the other zone of Salta as the senior
companion. My companion, Elder Rudder, is going to train an elder, and he is
super excited. I’m super excited too to go to this new area. But also I’m a
little nervous, haha, like always. But I know I can do it and I’m grateful for
the opportunity to step up a little more. I’m going to be with an elder from
Utah. I believe his name is spelled Damron. I have talked with him before and
he seems like a really nice elder. I’m looking forward to working with him.
We got to see the
General Conference in the stake center. They had a room for the missionaries to
listen in English. I enjoyed it a lot and there were some really good talks.
One of the talks that I loved is that of one of the Seventy that talked about
how we need to stop comparing ourselves to others and that the only opinion
that matters is the opinion of our Heavenly Father. I also loved the
talk about the mission work and how every member and missionary is working to
solve this puzzle. Everyone has a piece of the work to do! Yes, mom, I loved
that talk too. That we are here to find JOY - really that’s the point and I
love that he explained how we can be in different situations but we can still
feel joy. This gospel really is something that the world can’t destroy, when we
have internalized these principals, I know that we can find joy in any
circumstance. Such a great talk. I really enjoyed the conference, and we
managed to have 5 investigators in the conference between the 4 sessions.
I got some letters
from a group from Girls Camp. Sister Dobbs sent me the letters and they were
really nice. :) It’s always nice to receive a little note, haha.
I am sure that Elder
Rudder will continue to do great in the area and I am excited to hear about the
people that get baptized!
I’m looking forward to
the new area. I have heard that it’s a little richer and so we will see how the
people are. I have heard it’s a great barrio and I’m really excited. Hopefully
I stay in this area for a little longer than 2 transfers.
I’m doing good,
though, I have to pack and that’s about it they are going to start to do
transfers on Tuesdays. I think that’s all the news for this week.
Love you all,
Elder Wolf :)
Here we are at the
house of Santiago Luna and he had a little dog that I just couldn’t resist.
This is a view.
