Hey all!
(We asked Jacob how it’s
going with his new companion. This paragraph is what he wrote in response) I love my companion. He’s just so sweet and
filled with hope and faith. It’s something that has helped me realize how much
faith I still lack sometimes. There are
always things here that the missionaries get to know. For example the mornings
are just horrible to proselyte. But my companion with his faith is helping me
to have faith in moments like that when I think that the things are impossible.
This week was good.
Also a little trying, but I’m loving the time with Elder Andersen (from Utah). He’s super awesome, and he’s getting the hang
of Spanish pretty quickly! I’m impressed! But I also feel for him. When we are
in some of the more humble parts, the people are harder to understand, and well
I also started out here in Tucuman and the same thing happened to me. It was
hard to understand because there accent here is really strange.
For example we learn
in the MTC that when they ask us “¿de donde es?” we tell them where we are
from. Here they say “¿de donde sos vos?” and it means the same thing, but
sometimes it sounds more like, “¿d´dnde sovos?”
We have a lot of
investigators but they aren’t progressing that much, so we are helping them to
understand our purpose, and looking for new people to teach!
That’s about it for
this week.
Love you all!
